Dr Melita Ash

Percuro Psychology was established by Dr Melita Ash, Clinical Psychologist. Dr Ash is a HCPC registered Clinical Psychologist Chartered with the British Psychological Society.
She gained her Clinical Psychology Doctorate with Staffordshire University and has extensive experience both within the NHS and Independent Sector working with children, young people and their families with a range of difficulties.
These include early complex trauma and attachment difficulties, single-event traumas, phobias, anxiety, OCD, low mood, school refusal, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Foetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder, low self-esteem and confidence, self-harm and difficulties relating to friendships and bullying. Dr Housley works using a range of models and approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy (DDP), systemic approaches, and Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT).
She will work collaboratively and transparently with you to identify your individual goals for therapeutic support and will regularly review the work you do together. As well as working in the independent sector, Dr Housley holds a permanent NHS post working with Looked After Children and the systems surrounding them.
