One-to-One Parent Support for Parents of Anxious Teens
Two Ways to Access Support:
1. One-Off Parent Consultation (Parent Power Hour)
For parents of anxious and neurodivergent teens who want clarity, confidence, and a clear way forward
You know your teenager better than anyone.
And yet, if you're reading this, there's probably a part of you wondering:
"Am I understanding this properly?"
Perhaps your teenager is struggling with anxiety.
Perhaps they're autistic or ADHD.
Perhaps school feels harder than it should.
Perhaps emotions seem bigger, confidence seems lower, or life simply feels more complicated than it used to.
You may not feel in crisis.
You may not even know whether therapy is needed.
But you know something isn't quite adding up, and you'd like an experienced professional perspective to help you make sense of it all.
Because when teenagers are struggling, there is rarely one simple explanation.
And when everyone seems to have a different opinion, it can be difficult to know what to focus on.
You don't need more information.
You need clarity.
As a Clinical Psychologist specialising in adolescents, anxiety and neurodivergence, one of the things I hear most often from parents is:
"Nobody has ever explained it like that before."
Because my role isn't simply to offer strategies.
It's to help you understand the bigger picture.
To bring together the different pieces of the jigsaw and help you see what may be driving your teenager's difficulties, what is helping, what may be getting in the way, and what is likely to make the biggest difference moving forwards.
I look beyond symptoms alone and consider:
-
adolescent development
-
anxiety and emotional wellbeing
-
autism and ADHD
-
sensory experiences
-
family and relationships
-
school and wider systems
-
strengths and protective factors
-
the unique context of your young person's life
Because when we understand what makes sense about a teenager's struggles, we are in a much stronger position to know how to help.
Imagine leaving the session feeling...
Less overwhelmed.
Clearer about what is actually going on.
More confident in your parenting.
Better able to understand your teenager's behaviour.
More informed about what support may be helpful.
Less pulled in multiple directions by conflicting advice.
And reassured that there is a path forward.
Not because every problem has been solved in an hour.
But because you finally have a framework for understanding what you're seeing and what to focus on next.
What happens during a Parent Power Hour?
Before we meet, you'll complete a short intake questionnaire so I can understand your concerns and the wider context.
We then spend 60 minutes together exploring what is happening and building a shared understanding of the bigger picture.
Depending on your needs, we might discuss:
-
anxiety and emotional wellbeing
-
autism or ADHD
-
school-related concerns
-
friendships and social difficulties
-
family dynamics
-
emotional regulation
-
independence and adolescence
-
whether further support or assessment may be helpful
You'll have the opportunity to ask questions, explore your concerns, and benefit from specialist psychological input tailored to your family's circumstances.
Following the session, you'll receive a personalised written summary outlining the key themes, recommendations, and resources discussed.
This session is ideal if:
✓ You have an anxious and/or neurodivergent teenager
✓ You're seeking clarity rather than crisis support
✓ You want to better understand what may be driving your teenager's difficulties
✓ You're wondering what support may be helpful
✓ You value a thoughtful, evidence-based and compassionate approach
✓ You want professional guidance without committing to ongoing therapy
This is not therapy.
It is a specialist consultation designed to help you step back, join the dots, and make informed decisions about what comes next.
Many parents find that a single conversation provides the clarity and confidence they have been searching for.
Others use it as a starting point before deciding whether further support is needed.
Either way, you'll leave with a clearer understanding of the road ahead.
Fee
£295 which includes:
✓ Pre-session intake questionnaire and review of any relevant reports
✓ 60-minute online consultation
✓ Personalised written summary and recommendations
✓ Tailored resources and signposting
Because sometimes one conversation can change how you see everything.
For many parents, one carefully structured consultation is enough to move from uncertainty to confidence.
This consultation can also be used as a first step before longer-term therapy, though many families find a single session provides sufficient clarity.
